| Our client who is the largest law firm in the Channel Islands is currently recruiting for a floating secretary to work in their Litigation, Corporate, Property and Fiduciary departments, providing assistance as and when required, as well as occasional Reception cover. The Working hours are 9.00am to 5.30pm with a 90 minute lunch break, flexibility regarding working around normal office hours may sometimes be required.
Duties include, audio typing – letters/faxes, arranging internal and external meetings and lunches, liaising with clients mainly in Guernsey, Jersey and London. Answering the telephone and dealing with clients both in a secretarial capacity, organising business travel, drafting and amending various legal documents, using the internal client database system to add new clients and opening new matters and editing. Drafting invoices to clients on the electronic billing system and maintaining the filing system on a daily basis.
The successful candidate will need strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work and also be able to work well under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines. Good knowledge of MS Office is essential.
