| As one of the worlds leading banks our client is recruiting for IT Application Support Analyst on a 6 x month temporary basis, candidates must be committed, self-motivated with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
As a member of the support team duties will include, front line support for all applications and other supporting systems, provide assistance to users in formulating IT solutions to business problems the support private banking business processes and systems on a daily basis, troubleshoot daily production issues and assist in resolving any technical support issues.
The application support team is required to provide onsite cover for Guernsey, London & Gibraltar from 7.00 – 19.00 Monday – Friday and support the overnight batch process on a rota basis. Occasional travel to London, Gibraltar & Zurich may be required.
Essential for this role is a broad range of business knowledge (front office & operational support) good user support experience and user interface experience, with clear communication skills.
The following experience would be advantageous but is not essential:
Exposure to, and experience of SQL based systems is a pre-requisite and knowledge of messaging technologies, Swift messaging technology, Management Information Systems and related technologies, PC development skills (SQL, Visual Basic, C sharp or Java). Experience of working with IBM i-series: AIX and OS400 operating systems and MQSeries messaging products, Globus and its related technologies eg Jbase, TC Server and OFS Connector.
